51/53/58mm Calibrated Pressure Tamper for Coffee and Espresso

The power steering tamper is made of heavy duty 304 stainless steel, non-toxic and odorless, anti-rust and easy to clean. Tamper has a flat bottom, plastic handle for a comfortable grip and still provides stable handling. The difference of a power-assisted Tamper with a regular tamper is that it is equipped with additional springs, supporting compression when Tamping.

How to use Tamper effectively to make Espresso coffee:

+ Step 1: Keep the Portafilter clean and dry.
+ Step 2: Place the Espresso powder into the filter basket.
+ Step 3: Spread the powder evenly with your fingers.
Drag your finger across the side of the handle to spread the coffee evenly before pressing. If there is powder on the edge around the handle, brush it out.
+ Step 4: Compress the coffee with Tamper
To compress well the coffee powder, you should better know how to evenly distribute the compressive force with a pressure of about 30 pounds. You can use a large scale to measure how many pounds of pressure you put on the compression. This is really necessary to adjust the correct compression to always be at 30 pounds. The key is that your hand should be straight so the pressure is evenly distributed when compressing.
+ Step 5: You can rotate the handle to make the powder surface look finely.
