Hasami Kalita Wave ceramic coffee filter funnel
The Kalita coffee filter funnel is made by the Hasamiyaki method – or Hasami porcelain – a traditional porcelain-making method that originated four centuries ago in the town of Hasami, Nagasaki (Japan).
This collaboration between Kalita and Hasamiyaki creates a ceramic coffee filter that is thin and strong, light weight and durable. Each piece is handcrafted by highly qualified and experienced artisans, exposing the quality and pure white color typical of Hasami porcelain. The bottom of the funnel is handcrafted with the Kalita logo imprinter and the “Made in Japan” seal beautifully finished.
The design of the Kalita Wave helps to create a gap, reducing contact between the paper and the filter – this results in less heat loss and better coffee quality. With the design of flat bottom shape and three-hole design, the patented Kalita funnel helps to extract more evenly, thus making brewing the perfect cup of coffee easier and more accessible for new coffee makers.
