Description
The Wacaco Cuppamoka Coffee Maker is a thermomug and one-cup coffee maker that makes the ideal pour-over brew. The Wacaco is easy to use at home or in the workplace and is compact enough to be packed away for travel.
One of the things that sets Wacaco Cuppamoka apart is its pour over brewing technique. Compared to other brewers, it produces a cleaner cup of coffee and is a more natural method of brewing coffee. The coffee is kept hot for hours in the thermo and no sediment is left behind thanks to the paper filter!
Wacaco Cuppamoka is made from safe, robust and durable materials to let it brew and sip coffee for years to come. The brewed coffee can be stored and kept hot in a stainless steel mug and later one can sip it for hours directly from the leak proof drinking lid. Also includes all necessary accessories in a compact form factor to avoid taking too much space in your travel bags.
How to make coffee with Wacaco Cuppamoka
1.Take off lid and unpack the pieces from the cup and twist open the cone into pourover position.
2. Grind out 16g of coffee or take two scoopfuls of coffee from your ground coffee – a medium coarse grind works best.
3. Boil a kettle and then let it sit for a minute after boiling. Or take out your trusty hot water flask.
4. While you “let your kettle settle”, place an open filter paper in the Cuppamoka cone.
5. You can use a little of your hot water to wet the filter paper, but be sure to throw out that water from the cup before you start your brew! This is an optional step.
6. Put your fresh coffee grounds in the filter paper.
Pour a little hot water over the coffee until all of the coffee grounds are saturated, but not floating. Count to 30 while the coffee “blooms”.
7. Slowly pour water over your grounds, making sure you agitate the grounds a little with the water stream.
8. Unscrew the filter system from the stainless steel cup and place on collecting pad
Put your leakproof lid straight onto the mug. Coffee to go!
Care and Use
- Recommend washing the coffee maker under running water and wipe with a clean cloth. Then allow all the parts to dry completely before reassembling. It is not dishwasher safe.
- It does not heat up water. In order to prepare your coffee, you will have to use some hot water from an external source.
- Not microwave safe.
